The American Snowboard Training Center,
(ASTC), is a coaching and athlete representation program committed in providing professional coaching services to talented
competitive snowboarders. Based in Southern Vermont, ASTC was founded in 2008 by 1998 US Olympic half-pipe team rider Ron
Chiodi. With a strong professional history and experience competing at the highest level, we feel confident our coaching
methods are proved with the success of our athletes. ASTC utilizes the talents of qualified experienced coaches that
are former professionals and well experienced in all facets of snowboarding. The main goal of the American Snowboard Training Center is to provide accurate
information to goal oriented snowboarders and customize our coaching styles to their individual needs. ASTC offers a wide range of year round, seasonal on hill and off hill
coaching services. For our winter academy we utilize the Manchester Tutorial Center in Manchester, VT along with other tutoring options
to help maximize the rider's opportunity to learn at an accelerated rate. With the tutoring center this allows us to provide
a high level snowboard program midweek netting more hours on snow while implementing an educational component as well. ASTC
is focused on advanced snowboarders looking to develop their athletic and academic skills Monday - Friday. We do not offer
a weekend competition or development team however we can recommend resort programs with experienced coaches and knowledgeable
staff ready to assist your weekend needs. In reality all we can do as coaches is give our riders the tools and foundation to
be successful in snowboarding and life. It's truly up to the individual to use those tools to their benefit and work hard
towards a positive outcome.
